Each day, Dr Adu starts work at Anija School Dental Clinic around 8:00 am until 5:30 pm. She sees approximately 20 - 27 patients each day with procedures including fillings, tooth extraction, check ups, and preventative procedures. For many of the children, it is a follow up recall from last years treatment. She is assisted by Maria (who grew up in the Ark) and Nani, two dental students from the Dominican Republic, who are being trained by Dr. Adu. Photographer and team member Dave Reed also assists in distributing a new tooth brush, tooth paste and floss to patients donated by the members of the College Church Choir and friends / family of the Dominican Republic team members.
